Marinade time! Summer is here and flavorful, sweet chicken and pork marinades are everything. If you love sweet and tangy marinades, this one is a good one to try. The best thing about this maple Dijon marinade is that you can make it ahead because it is freezer friendly! This marinade can be used for grilling, baking, slow cooking, and over the stove top too.

These two meats are so versatile, aren’t they? This marinade goes well on both. I will say, when you grill outside on a BBQ pit, it brings out the flavor even more. As far as pork, I absolutely loved the taste this marinade brought to the dish as well. the maple sweetness and the tang of the Dijon mustard are a perfect mix together.

Maple Dijon Marinade for Chicken and Pork

A delicious, sweet and tangy marinade that is freezer friendly! Use for grilling, slow cooking, meal prepping and stovetop cooking.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • optional spices: basil, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic salt add to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients together and whisk until combined well.
  • Combine marinade with chicken or pork in a gallon freezer bag and toss until marinade coats everything. Open up a section of the bag very carefully take out some air and seal the bag.
  • For every pound of meat, you will need about 1/2-2/3 cup of marinade to coat.

How Long Does Frozen Chicken or Pork Last?

Typically, the answer is three months. Make sure you take out any air bubbles in the freezer bag. Usually, I like to fold the bag in half, then squeeze out any air, then seal.
