Pineapple Cranberry Almond Cheese Ball
Cheese ball time! I have always loved easy recipes that are no bake, no fuss and everyone loves. Since I am a busy mom I need quick and easy recipes, and don’t have all the time in the world to be in the kitchen all day preparing.
Easy No Bake Appetizer Recipe
I have made this dish several times when I have hosted tailgate parties to holiday gatherings and always get compliments when I make it.
I typically pull this dish out as an appetizer as part of the finger foods options, before the main dishes are served. It is a dish that always gets eaten up!
How To Make A Cheese Ball
Overall, it’s also a recipe that can be tailored to your own taste, you can add or take out ingredients if you like.
So here you go, Pineapple Cranberry Almond Cheese ball!
Pineapple Cranberry Almond Cheese Ball
Ingredients
- 1 8oz package of cream cheese
- sliced almonds
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 8oz can of crushed drained pineapple very important it is drained as much as possible so it will not be soggy
- 3/4 cup cranberries
- 3/4 cup pecans
- (optional: sliced ham, green onions)
Instructions
- In a big bowl, add softened cream cheese. If cheese is rock hard, leave it on the countertop for a while or soften in microwave for 10 seconds or less, out of the aluminum wrap.
- Add drained, crushed pineapple. Make sure pineapple is dry! The less juice the better, too much juice can make it hard to work with. Fold into cream cheese.
- Add powdered sugar, cranberries and pecans. Mix all ingredients well. (At this point you can add green onions and/or sliced ham if you like.)
- In a serving dish, form a ball from the mix and place in the middle of dish. Cover the ball with the sliced almonds. Sliced almonds will naturally stick to the mixture.
- Refrigerate for an hour, covered. Dish is ready to serve when chilled.
