Thanksgiving leftovers are one of the joys that come along with Thanksgiving day feast! But what can we do to create another great meal? Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole dishes!
One thing I do not like is heating all the leftovers separately. I also have a lot of Tupperware taking up refrigerator space. I need to condense my space in my fridge and make more room.
Leftover Turkey and Sides Recipe
This leftover recipe is so easy. It all cooks at the same time and you can also alter it depending on what you have leftover.
If you have a ton of leftovers like I do, you can cook it in a 9×13 inch pan. If you do not, you can cut this recipe in half or make the necessary adjustments to it.
Unique Thanksgiving Casserole
This is pretty unique to me in that I only thought these ingredients would be well separate, but they are just as great in a casserole dish. I am sold!
Plus, it is a great way to make a meal at the time when you are putting things away from the holiday meal.
Just grab a casserole dish and you are already prepping your next family meal! It is a win-win and a great way in using up the leftover turkey.
Especially when it is a big bird!
You can also adjust this recipe to fit your own tastes, or preferences or whatever you have left over from Thanksgiving in general.
Leftover Thanksgiving Recipe
I love being able to feed my family another full meal or three using the leftovers from a holiday meal. It helps save money and is cost effective. I like to serve it with some leftover Hawaiian rolls (my favorite!) and is delicious and saves money.
Layered Leftover Thanksgiving Casserole
This recipe is basically layering the ingredients. Kind of like a Seven Layer Dip recipe. The thought process is the same, with layering, but this time it is a casserole for Thanksgiving leftovers.
Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 cups shredded turkey *amounts are estimates, use what you have.
- 1 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 4 cup mashed potatoes
- 2 cup corn
- 1 1/2 cup turkey gravy
- 4 cups stuffing
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Layer all ingredients, starting with the turkey, then cranberry, mashed potatoes, corn, turkey gravy and finally stuffing. I put the gravy under the stuffing so that it stays moist.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes or until center is hot.
