How to Make Delicious Brazilian Lemonade

Lifeofacherrywife.brazilianlemonade1

Our family recently went to an all you can eat Brazilian Steakhouse and it was delicious! If you have never been to one, search and see if there is one in or close to where you live. It’s such a different experience and the food is always great. I wanted to try a different drink this time since I really wanted an alcoholic beverage, but I can’t since I’m currently pregnant. So, I opted for a lemonade instead to which they replied they had regular and Brazilian lemonade. My curiosity peaked and I ordered the Brazilian Lemonade! Oh mylanta, this stuff was amazingly delicious!! Creamy, tangy, sweet, I had four refills before we left and I was determined to crack the code and make this at home. So here you go! How to make delicious Brazilian Lemonade!

How to Make Brazilian Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of lime zest
  • 1 cup of lime juice (took 9 limes for this batch)
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 can of 14oz sweetened condensed milk
  • Blender
Directions:

1. Mix 8 cups of water with 1 cup of sugar, stir and set aside into your pitcher.

2. In blender, add lime juice, lime zest and sweetened condensed milk together. Pour sugar water to just under 3/4 of the way in blender. Not all your sugar water will fit in the blender. Blend until smooth and frothy. NOTE: MIXTURE WILL FROTH UP! Do not fill your blender all the way to the top or you will have a mess.

3. Pour mix from blender into the remaining sugar water. Stir and serve over ice.

Cheers!! My family loves this different style, Brazilian Lemonade. The first batch we made, we used 3/4 cups sugar instead of 1 cup. We like it better with 1 cup added instead. Even my 2 year old chugged this drink (watered down of course for him). It is something we now drink quite often and love it! We have not tried to mix it with alcohol yet, but I’m sure it would be good with a vodka, rum or even a tequila! If you do make an alcoholic version of this drink, comment below and let me know what you added! Again, if you have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse, its definitely an experience! There are many to choose from, but we went to this one.
