Austin, TX is such a wonderful city, and exploring it can be so much fun!
I have lived in Austin for almost 25 years and there are still adventures that I have not taken in this town! Exploring Austin with Greenbelt Outdoors was one adventure I recently went on and I cannot tell you how much it is a unique, fun, socially distanced, physical workout, gem of an opportunity for the Austin, TX area!
Outdoor Recreation at Your Convenience
I first heard of Greenbelt Outdoors when I was drinking my morning coffee and they were on the news. I have NEVER heard of a company like this before, so I looked them up and was amazed at what I saw.
Long gone are the days of wasting time in lines, lengthy raft rental processes, confined to one area of water or sub-par customer service.
Self-Service Upgraded
Think of Greenbelt Outdoors as the “Redbox of the Outdoors”. They are a self-serve, water equipment rental company located in Austin, TX. They offer a kiosk style, kayak, packrafts and paddleboard rentals with an incredibly easy transaction!
They have evolved the water rental recreation business and have made the ability for renters to get into the water faster, easier, and with a newfound freedom to explore the local area.
All with simplicity, freedom and premium equipment!
Easy Watercraft Rentals
Greenbelt Outdoors uses smart-locker technology, access codes and timestamps which enable their customers to have the freedom to choose where to go with minimal downtime and easy-to-transport gear.
It was incredibly easy and all based on our schedule and preferences. I loved it!
Make Exploring Austin Fun!
With Greenbelt Outdoors, you are no longer constricted to one location, just choose where to go and you can go!
Whether you want a day break from work, a weekend get-away, or planning a small group gathering, they can help you explore and enjoy nature.
It was incredibly easy to get our packrafts and get going! Planning our Austin outdoor activity was hassle-free, quick and incredibly easy. A seamless, hassle-free process.
A Fun Austin Nature Experience
Traditional water recreation rentals have offered inconvenient and often confusing hoops to jump through, long wait times, and when you got your equipment, it was so bulky it made transporting it difficult! In addition, you often are restricted to just one area. Not anymore!
I really liked how the packraft was in a backpack style and could be carried to your destination. I am only 5 feet tall and it was a little heavy for me, but still manageable. If I can do it, you can too!
Superior Customer Service
We took out individual packrafts that fit in a large duffel bag sized backpack and went on our way to the Hill of Life Trail in Barton Creek Greenbelt. We received all the information on the location, parking, and where to go on the hike. The information given was very thorough and easy to understand.
Since I had never done anything like this before, I had a ton of questions! My fear was that since it was self-guided, that I would be lost and confused if I had a situation pop up that I needed help with, I would be out of luck. I was very wrong!
On top of giving clear instructions on how to do things, I was also able to ask questions when I needed to with a prompt response each time. Their customer service was amazing! I was impressed at the level of knowledge and care I received for this being self-guided and self-served. Top notch, 100%.
Premium Equipment Rentals
In addition to their amazing customer service, they rent out premium equipment. So, if you are in the market to purchase some premium paddleboards, kayak and/or packrafts, this is the place to try before you buy! If you do love the experience, you can also purchase equipment through Greenbelt Outdoors too.
Make your date and check them out! Totally worth the one-of-a-kind experience.
