The Back to School Countdown Begins
It’s almost Back To School time! I am hearing it everywhere. “OMG it’s already almost time! Ugh! I have got to start packing the kids up and making it to the store before they close, but I do not want to mess with the crowds! I just don’t want to leave the house. I would rather spend the weekend doing more fun than fighting the back to school crowds.” Well….hello, internet! Unlike most of our parents, we now have the option to get back to school items online! back to school finds, back to school sales, back to school supplies, back to school sales, back to school shopping, back to school deals, school supplies store, school supplies online, going back to school, back to school time, best back to school deals, back to school ideas, back to school deals, cheap back to school supplies,
I’m with you: no need to ruin summer by racing around to buy pencils. We’d rather be at the pool! So I’ll definitely be doing some last minute online shopping in a few weeks!
Thank you for sharing! Shopping for “Back to School” is always stressful because the lists they have in the stores (or local Walmart always has them for each school and grade) are NEVER what the teacher requests. So you either have the option of stocking up on stuff they might not need or waiting for the list and missing the good sales. I’ve never purchased their supplies online but we started stocking up on the stuff we know they are going to need (paper, pencils, glue sticks, crayons, composition notebooks, etc.) when they are super cheap and then just getting the specialty stuff later.
very nice post!! love the photos!
Great idea! I have never done back to school shopping online.
Many schools now post supply lists online—ours is both on Facebook and on the school website.
This is super helpful. My kids are starting school this year!
i always loved back to school time just for the sake of new crayons!

Ha! Me too, I loved the smell of a new box! 😂🖍🖍🖍
This is a much better way of doing it – then you don’t get distracted and end up buying things you don’t need or forgetting what you do!
I’m completely unprepared for school starting. But with all these great deals going on, I’ll have to get a head start. I’m actually excited to start shopping for the new school year.
This reminded me of my childhood. I only have a 2 year old at the moment but this is a good list and overview so that you have everything you need for school.
we are not there yet but online shopping is always a better idea. It saves time, gas and money.
I don’t have kids yet. But, it inspires me to do my own work clothing shopping online.
I’m shocked at how quickly the summer has flown by so far! I definitely plan on doing a lot of our back to school shopping and prep online! I hate dealing with the crowds and craziness.
Although I don’t have any children going back to school we love to purchase items for kids in need and donate them. Thanks for a great list and this will make it a whole lot easier!
Yes! I am all about shopping online, so much easier!
This is awesome; you did all the legwork for us here (so to speak). Lol i’m in the other camp, though; I love wandering the back-to-school aisles, and I can’t wait to go with my kids’ list to buy all the things!! Passing this along to my fellow friends who don’t like it as much as I do 🙂
Great post! I actually love taking my son back to school shopping but I have a weird obsession with office supplies!!
This was helpful!! Great idea! Thanks for the tip –
I will have 3 out of the 7 in school this year and group outings is very non existent now. I did a lot of shopping online for their clothes and shoes etc but I went to Target for the supplies and used it as an excuse to get away lol. Thanks for sharing!
While I don’t love the crowds, I actually do like back to school shopping with my kids! But I definitely agree that sometimes that just isn’t feasible which makes me happy that we have the option to do things online.
This is such a good idea! I really try to stay ahead of the game with extras at home…and there is almost no limit to what I’m willing to buy online these days rather than go into the store…
