Ingredients

  • 1 8oz package of cream cheese
  • sliced almonds
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 8oz can of crushed drained pineapple very important it is drained as much as possible so it will not be soggy
  • 3/4 cup cranberries
  • 3/4 cup pecans
  • (optional: sliced ham, green onions)

Instructions

  • In a big bowl, add softened cream cheese. If cheese is rock hard, leave it on the countertop for a while or soften in microwave for 10 seconds or less, out of the aluminum wrap.
  • Add drained, crushed pineapple. Make sure pineapple is dry! The less juice the better, too much juice can make it hard to work with. Fold into cream cheese.
  • Add powdered sugar, cranberries and pecans. Mix all ingredients well. (At this point you can add green onions and/or sliced hamĀ if you like.)
  • In a serving dish, form a ball from the mix and place in the middle of dish. Cover the ball with the sliced almonds. Sliced almonds will naturally stick to the mixture.
  • Refrigerate for an hour, covered. Dish is ready to serve when chilled.
