Understanding Worrying and Control
I used to be a control freak. I used to drive myself crazy with wanting to control outcomes of situations, and it led to so much anxiety and frustration.
None of us can control everything, even if we try our hardest. I always tried to control the storm, and it drove me crazy. My most intense moments included panic attacks every hour.
It wasn’t until I made the conscious decision to change my thoughts and behaviors that I understood that I still had power to respond to situations in a positive way and make the most of current circumstances.
Your Daily Habits Are Important
If you worry like I did, know that there is a way to break the cycle. The key is to be conscious of your thoughts and your daily habits. And it feels wonderful understanding this and doing so.
Letting go and allowing the universe to control what you cannot is liberating. When we master our emotions, and let go of what has been crippling us, we make room for new life experiences.
When you fall into the habit of worrying, be mindful of it, and change your thinking. If you are worrying about something you cannot change, change how you think about it. You can also practice not thinking about it at all.
Make the conscious decision to stop thinking about what you cannot control.
Your Personal Philosophy
Instead of thinking about who you are now or how you want to do things now, think about who you want to be or how you want your relationships to be. Think about how you want to go about getting things done.
Your personal philosophy should be about who you want to be as a person, a potential leader. Once you develop that, then start moving in that direction. Putting plans to action is what it is all about.
If you talk about it, it is a dream. If you envision it, it is possible. If you plan it, it is real.
Even if it is just a little bit of progress today, each day adds up to big results. Remember, don’t wait until the finish line to be proud that you have accomplished your goal. Be proud throughout journey you are taking too.
When times get rough, just remember… no grit, no pearl.
💐 Have a great day. Be the good you want to see in others and be the person you thank yourself tomorrow for. 🌻
