Ingredients

  • 6 cups rice cereal
  • 1 10oz bag of marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp shortening
  • green food coloring
  • candy eyes
  • parchment or wax paper
  • one ziploc sandwich bag

Instructions

  • Pour coconut oil in large saucepan on low heat.
  • Once coconut oil is melted, add the bag of marshmallows and stir until marshmallows have melted and mixture is smooth.
  • Add green food coloring until desired color is achieved, adding little by little, stirring color.
  • Add in the cereal and fold in cereal to the mixture until it is all mixed well together.
  • Pour cereal in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Wet your hands so mix doesn't sick to your hands and press krispies mix until it is flat and molded into the shape of the pan.
  • Place that to the side and start on the chocolate dip (for Frankenstein features)
  • Grab a microwave safe bowl. Add the chocolate chips and shortening to it. Place in microwave for 30 seconds at a time, mixing after each 30 seconds until all chips are melted.
  • Cut the cooled krispies into squares. Grab your wax or parchment paper. Dip the top of the square treat into the melted chocolate, and knock off any excess. ( I did this with a spoon and the corner of the bowl) and place treat on the paper. Repeat for all treats. This is his hair.
  • Grab a sandwich ziploc bag. Pour the rest of the melted chocolate in the bag. Cut off a very tiny corner of the bag. Draw Frankenstein's mouth. Repeat for all.
  • Squeeze a drop of chocolate behind the candied eyeballs and place on Frankenstein. The chocolate acts like a glue. Repeat for all. Chill until chocolate is hard. Enjoy!
